We are meeting at Sandymoor Hall this month, to talk about the history of the local area. Keckwick was a small village under the control of the barons of Halton from at least the start of the 12th century, but apart from two farms, there was no settlement at Sandymoor until the 1980’s. There is a lot to talk about.
We’ll bring along some old maps and have those available for you to look at from 7pm, the talk will begin promptly at 7.30pm. Members of DDHG and PBDHG free of charge, visitors very welcome, £3 each.
