Thirty or so of us met at Preston Brook for a walk along the canal yesterday evening, looking at the sites of the old warehouses, canal company buildings, cranes and cottages. What a shame it was when the heavens opened and we had to seek shelter under a bridge! It was no surprise that some went home early to dry out. George had some fascinating information for us and we look forward to reading all about this important canal transhipment point on the website soon.
